China Unbound is committed to respecting the personal data you supply to us. The information we collect will be relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used.
When someone visits the China Unbound website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not allow Google to make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

We use IP address tracking technology to identify businesses visiting our site and the pages that are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic in order to develop and improve our website for business visitors.
This cookie is added by our load balancer to track which web server to send the visitor to. It’s purpose is to improve the performance of the website. This is an essential cookie to the operation of the site that is always set by the load balancer and does not store any personal information.
This is the WordPress security cookie. It is used to presist user login statuses across requests.
_ga (Google Analytics)
This cookie enables web traffic analysis.
_gat (Google Analytics)
The plugin works by sending an additional request to stats.g.doubleclick.net that is used to provide advertising features like remarketing and demographics and interest reporting in Google Analytics. This cookie does not store any user information, it’s just used to limit the number of requests that have to be made to doubleclick.net.
Use of Data
Your personal data will enable China Unbound to respond to your direct enquiries made to us through the “contact” page of the China Unbound website. China Unbound will use details submitted by you to enable us to contact you regarding our products or services that may be of interest to you.
